Increasing the radar cross section using phase array antenna in the body structure of miniature air-launched decoy platforms

Decoys have a crucial role in the electronic countermeasure and deception concepts, many works developments been realized over past few decades. The most impressive one is miniature air-launched decoy (MALD)s. They are used to give impression of an attack enemy airspace by imitating fighters' radar signatures flight profiles. However, they resemble emission fighters; their detection probabilities lower than fighters due low cross-section (RCS)s. This situation results suspiciously provides basis for discriminating MALD from fighter. Thus, system's RCS must study presents method increasing systems using phased array antennas. So, different approach developed covering surface platform with antenna ANSYS High Frequency Structural Simulator (HFSS) program. structure analysis radiating elements has conducted on HFSS A microstrip antenna, dipole bow tie structures were analyzed, compared. best was decided applied missile. increased compared fighter's RCS, satisfactory obtained.
